The Preachers Wife, no really...

So...yes, I am officialy the wife of the (not so) FAMOUS Reverend DOOBIE! Almost 2 years ago our good friends, Candace & Justin, aprroached Craig about becoming ordained and performing their wedding ceremony. At first, we took it as a joke and sorta put it on the back burner. Justin & Candace had postponed their wedding so time went on and we really thought they would forget about the request. Well, they didn't! Craig became ordained online (and yes it is legit)! The paperwork took about 2 weeks and now he can officially marry couples! He was so excited when his package arrived in the mail - it came with a little card he can carry in his wallet (you know, next to his unicard) and a "CLERGY" sticker for his car. HAHAHA!

Here are a few pics from the Yaross-Mayer Extravaganza! The ceremony was beautiful and you would thought he had performed a 100 prior! They did a great job in picking someone to marry them! Craig was very honored!

Getting ready for the ceremony to begin with the Groom & Best Man
The Son of A Preacher Man....(you know - the song...)

Doing His Job...

With all seriousness.....

Congratulations Candace & Justin!
The wedding was beautiful and very memorable!

Are these my children?

My grandmother celebrated her 71st Birthday on August 7th so our family went out to Shogun's to celebrate! After the meal we were graced with cupcakes to top off the event. My children decided that the icing would be better on the face instead of in the mouth! I have decided I am not taking them in public ever again! ;)

NOW I KNOW MY ABC'S....

Hank is getting so good at singing his ABC's and this was the first chance I had to get a quick video of him. He woke up in such a great mood this morning and was singing away in the bath tub! He is generally NOT a morning person and I can't imagine who he gets that from! :)

Enjoy...

Potty Training....

We are really trying to work on potty training Hank. It isn't exactly going the way we want, but it is going. Hank does just fine at Missy's during the day using the big boy potty, but when he gets home at night I think he just gets comfortable and forgets. So it is still a work in progress. Lastnight before bed I walked into my bathroom and found Hank - he said he needed to poop! HAHA! He is such a big boy!

Atleast he was trying!

JAZZERCISE ADDICT & MORE....

OMG! I finally found a workout session that I LOVE! If you know me well enough - you know Tab doesn't work out - OBVIOUSLY! But Melissa's sister, Ashley, has been on us to join forever now! Melissa started and then I gave it a TRY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Now, I am not the most coordinated person by any means - but I can get the groove going just about the time we are finished with the set :) I know I will eventually get it!!! But I am working out - that is a big step for me! You should join, as long as you don't take my spot at the back of the room!!! (Oh, and if you do go - tell them Paris Baby sent you)

Melissa & I went to Dallas Market yesterday and picked some really cool products! We are very excited to get them in the store! New products have been arriving weekly! It is just like Christmas time when a box comes!

I promise I will post pics next blog!

AMERICAN IDOL!!!!

So.....

I would say that I am a HUGE fan of American Idol and was so BLOWN AWAY by the results of lastnight's show. Kris Who? (don't judge me yet) I was a DANNY GOKEY & ALLISON IREHETA fan from the beginning. Each week as Craig & I watched the show I just knew that "crooked mouth" was the guy going home....being as I couldn't even remember his name. As Simon would say, he was "forgettable". But apparently American never forgot about him. So as the weeks went on, I too, became a KRIS ALLEN fan! He was truely the underdog. I mean, I couldn't even remember his name. I nearly cried when my 2 favs were voted out and even Julie in my office banned AI and erased future recordings from her DVR when Danny Gokey didn't get thru to the final 2.

I always give Melissa a hard time because she doesn't watch AI. Here I know everything about the contestants except their blood type and she doesn't know who I am talking about. :) I guess I am sorta a freak about this season for some odd reason....I never watched AI before like this season.

So the final show was AWESOME! I LOVE NORMAN GENTLE! I think it was definately better than the superbowl by all means! Still sad that Danny Gokey didn't make it - but I will be the first to join his fan club and buy a CD!

So Adam....I like Adam - he was dramatic...but very likeable. He will definately make it far!

So I am sad about AI coming to and END. I would die for tickets to the the tour!!! So I will leave you with one small tribute to AI!

If I drank coffee - this is DEFINATELY what my cup woud look like!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?

I see little Hanker looking at me!

These glasses actually belong to Mr. Potato Head. Hank loves to play with them when he goes to Nana's house. He will wear these the entire time he is there. Too funny! I think that Cricket is a bit jealous, though! :)

Have a happy Tuesday and I do promise I will be a better blogger! :)

Pregnant?

So, most of you know that I work for Lamar County Coalition of Education, Business & Industry as the program coordinator for Project SAVE. I travel to area high schools and talk to students about abstinence. I LOVE what I do. Well, we also provide funding to schools for the Baby Think It Over program and empathy bellies to the parenting & Family development classes.

The other day Stephanie found an old empathy belly in our storage room. It has been sitting in my office for almost 2 weeks now and I decided to open up the case today. We have been laughing so much because we all decided to try it on. That sucker is HEAVY! I was first to put it on and model, then Stephanie, well then some of the X-Ray students got in on the fun, too! (Even a guy!). I really forgot how rough pregnancy was. My blood pressure automatically rose, I broke out into a sweat, and my knees were buckleing and I was laughing so hard. Now I have cramps in my back! Thought I would share the pics with you of us wearing the empathy belly! For all of our mommy's visiting the store - we now EMPATHIZE with you!!!!

Hope you enjoyed these as much as we did! It sure was hard work being pregnant for those few minutes!!!

Hank the Helper

Hank came to work with Mommy this morning at her office! Oh - FUN! We have been here 1 1/2 hours and I have already vacuumed twice, cleaned the colors marks he has made on my desk, the floor and a cabinet, made ramps with file folder and played peek-a-boo in a box! We have had fun so far - only 2 spankings! haha. (you know mommy doesn't really spank) I wanted him to join me at work today because I miss him so much during the week! He ate M&M's for breakfast and now doritos as a snack! In a little while we will be heading to Paris Baby to see Austen & Melissa and spend the rest of the day with them!

WE LOVE THE NEW STORE!!!

I can't believe we have already been at the new location for 2 weeks! Time Flies.

The grand opening was great! We love meeting all the babies and new mom's that come into our store. Last week we finally got to meet Peanut! He belongs to Tandi Cregg and his name is Colton. We made him some custom tee's and he got some really cute things from the store. We loved his mohawk! We love when "our mommy's" bring in the babies after they are born.

We hope Kenlie had a great 1st birthday, too! Her Nana is so proud of her! And picked up some stylish bows and a custom onesie for her birthday gift!

We have had several mommy's register this past week, too! Don't forget we will deliver to the hospital or to baby showers! We are here for all of your baby needs!

I am so glad that Melissa is able to be a stay at home mom now and be at Paris Baby full time! Her and Aus are doing such a great job holding the fort down! Hank and I get to come there after I get off work and on the weekends. Austen & Hank are finally getting to the age they can play together! Last weekend Melissa & I provided pizza for our husbands and thier buddies for a BOYS POKER NIGHT for all their hard work and support they have given us with Paris Baby. The girls & kids spent the evening at Melissa's. Hank & Austen took a bath together! This will be one of those pics we will have to bring out when they are in High School! Melissa & I have plenty of those pictures that our mom's have of us! Maybe oneday we will break those out of the box to show you!
We ordered so many new products on Saturday! Check out our website www.parisbaby.org to see when the new products are here! We have Boppy coming, some new shoes, new colors in tee's & onsies for customization!

Happy 2nd Birthday HANK

Well, goodbye baby boy - hello TERRIBLE TWO's!!! Hank turned 2 today. He was so super excited about it being his birthday. He had a great party with Ryliegh Mayer last night. She turned THREE! Thank you so much to Austen, Ayden, Easton, Mason, Dawson, Brian, & Madox for coming to the party. They had fun playing musical chairs, pin the nose on the clown, getting their faces painted and the goldfish toss! (sorry parents, hope your goldfish are still alive!!!) Hank has been playing with all of his toys that he got. He is really into Monster Trucks right now. I think he is going to turn into a monster truck! Thank you so much Candace for the cute cake! This morning we have been lighting candles all through the house and singing Happy Birthday to Hank just so that he can blow the candle out! It is so funny. Watch the short video below of Hank eating cake for breakfast (what can I say it is his birthday) and singing "Happy Birthday Hank".

Guess What??? Paris Baby is MOVING to Paris Feb 2nd!

Melissa & I have started a Blog so that you can keep up with PARIS BABY and what is going on with us and our families. We love to read everyone else's blogs, so we thought a blog for Paris Baby would be great. We meet so many great people each day and such cute babies in our store that we want to share our stories with you all!

My name is Tabitha Blackburn, and I am a co-owner of Paris Baby with Melissa Gordon ( http://parisbabytexas.blogspot.com/ ) and I also work for Lamar County Coalition as the Program Coordinator. I have the best husband in the world, Craig, and two awesome boys - Brian is 7 (going on 16) and Hank will be 2 next Sunday. We are definately starting to understand the term "terrible two's"! Our family and friends have been more than 100% supportive of Paris Baby.

Paris Baby is MOVING to a new space. We opened a little over 4 months ago in Blossom, next to Blossom Hardware (Thanks Craig for the free start), but now we are moving to Paris. The opportunity came upon us quicker than we ever expected! We have had a wonderful start in Blossom, but there is not any room to grow there (we begged Craig for more space - but apparently he needed a spot for his hardware, haha). So beginning FEB 2nd Paris Baby will be located at:
803 24th Street
Paris, Texas
(Next door to Taylor Glass & Small Town Girls Boutique)
Please still come see us at the Blossom location until January 31st!!!
We have been working so hard on getting the new space ready. Thank you so much to my mom (Trish) and Ronny for spending your Saturday afternoon painting the entire space for us! Melissa and I went polka dot crazy in there and we don't know what we would do with without our AWESOME husbands! I mean, they can do anything and really don't grunt too much about what we ask them to do!
But the tricky part is to come. We will be spending Feb 1st moving our inventory and furniture to the new location. Do you know what FEB 1st is? SUPERBOWL - do you think our husbands are going to help? We are still trying to figure that one out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please check back periodically - I will TRY to keep this updated as much possible!
Paris Baby is truely a dream that is coming true.................
My Boys - Hank & Brian
